Office Update:

Dear clients,

Starting December 1st, 2021, we will be closing the clinic down Monday-Friday between 12:30-1:30pm. This is to give the staff time for lunch, to clean, and to reset for the rest of the day. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have had a higher volume of appointments and need to value our staff's dedication with an uninterrupted break. 

Important Covid-19 Update:

For the health and safety of everyone we are currently requiring only one person per household (with the exception of children) to accompany your pet for their appointment and that social distancing protocol is still practiced throughout the clinic. This means there still is a limited capacity for waiting in our lobby. However, the use of face masks and coverings is now optional in our facility but highly recommended for clients that have not been vaccinated. Dr. Brian Murphy was born and raised in Louisville, graduating from Trinity High School in 2004. He then attained a B.A. in biology from Bellarmine University in 2008. Dr. Murphy achieved his veterinary degree from Auburn University in 2013. His veterinary interests include dermatology, endocrinology, and soft-tissue surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Murphy has been actively involved with Boy Scout Troop 327 at St. Albert the Great Parish. WIth the troop, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and has since become an Assistant Scoutmaster. He also enjoys boating, swimming, spending time with family and friends, and is an avid Auburn Football fan. WAR EAGLE! His pet family includes a Labrador Retriever named MIckey. 

Dr. Murphy has been a long-time member of the Johnson Animal Clinic staff, starting as a veterinary assistant back in 2005.
